brett361975 Posted 5 July , 2008 Share Posted 5 July , 2008 Does anyone have any information on 16813 Private Harry Faggo of the Liverpool Regiment, any chance of an ancestry look up please. Thank you Regards Brett
Adam Llewellyn Posted 5 July , 2008 Share Posted 5 July , 2008 Hi Brett, The medal index card for Harry on Ancestry shows that he was entitled to the Victory, British and 15 Star medals. There's a date of entry of 7.11.1915. in France. It also shows MM with the cross and dots, but I can not remember what the cross and dots stand for. If you send me your e mail addy I can forward it on. Regards. Llew.
eviltaxman Posted 5 July , 2008 Share Posted 5 July , 2008 Normally the cross/dots relate to the regiment/service number on the respective medals, but given this chap retained the same number in the same regiment, it's almost pointless in this scenario. eviltaxman Posted 5 July , 2008 Share Posted 5 July , 2008 Most definitely. Next step would be to look up any mention in the LG. I'm lousy at finding anything there so I'll leave that to someone else Les
