Private Thomas Hickin, Leicestershire Regiment

I was wondering if anyone had any information at all on Private Thomas Hickin 25264 of 7th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment, commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial? This is the only information I have on him, as well as the fact that at Epehy on 21st March 1918 he was killed whilst firing a Lewis gun from the hip whilst walking along a trench. Don't even have any information such as date of birth, next of kin etc

Thanks, Rob

Many thanks Rjaydee - i'm currently living very close to Market Bosworth, I presume his name will be on the memorial there - oddly enough I can't find a place on google maps called Northurst

Hi Rob,

The MIC on Ancestry for Thomas shows that he was entitled to the Victory and British medals and no other information. If you would like the full sized image can you pm your e mail addy. I have checked for service records, but no luck I'm afraid.

Regards. Llew.
