Hi all,

Got a bit of a puzzler in that I'm trying to find out about 76172 Pte William Robinson, West Yorks Regt who was only entitled to the BWM according to his MIC. I know it's not unheard of for men to only have the one medal entitlement and that was awarded to those serving in certain theatres (eg India, Malta) without the Victory. Working from this I think he served in the 1st (Garrison) Battalion as I can't see any other Battalions of the West Yorks who weren't entitled to both the BWM and VM.

Unless anyone can suggest any other options could anyone help with details as to what the 1st (Garrison) Bn did, other than what is already on the Long, long Trail (says Malta August 1915 for duration of war).

Ta muchly,

Dan.
