ddycher Posted 14 June , 2008 Share Posted 14 June , 2008 Does anyone know which units were stationed at Seaforth Barracks, Liverpool during 1917. I am looking at enlistment there and am getting confused between the KLR, Cheshires and the Training Reserve. Anyone have any ideas ? IanA Posted 14 June , 2008 Share Posted 14 June , 2008 I think that by 1917 enlistment at Seaforth was just a beaurocratic formality. My grandfather enlisted there, was assigned to the RWF, was almost immediately transferred to the Border Regiment and finally fought with the 1/5th Kings (Liverpool) Regiment.
