If you happen to get to the Loos memorial and have both the time and the inclination, I'd appreciate some general shots of the memorial plus the following two names please: George Trayton Washer, 7th East Surrey Regt (Panels 65 to 67) Robert Charles Jessop, 1st Rifle Brigade (Panel 129) Thanks and enjoy your trip. Admin Michelle Young Posted 4 June , 2005 Author Admin Share Posted 4 June , 2005 Got back late last night after a brilliant visit. Less said about Le Shuttle last night the better! I have taken pics of Meteren, Dud Corner and Le Touret for Robbie, Mark H , Andrew P, TD60, Paul Nixon, Anthony, and Dave 59. Can you send me your email addresses, and in Robbies case, snail mail, (I'll send you a disc) and sometime next week I'll sort the pics out. I also got some pics of 10th Btn men at Eblinghem cemetery of you are interested Robbie. The isolated grave you mention Robbie is probably that to Lt Morris who was killed in 1914, and buried in a private grave. Unfortunately, my camera was inaccessible when we went thetre, but I do have photos and can scan if you want. Regards, Michelle

Admin Michelle Young Posted 7 June , 2005 Author Admin Share Posted 7 June , 2005 Yes I did, but not a very good one! I was leaning over the ballustrade as every time we we went near the gardeners tip, he scooted. Here he is with a very crude 1st attempt to use paintbrush on a pic! (sorry)
Paul Nixon Posted 7 June , 2005 Share Posted 7 June , 2005 Looks as though he's built some nice traverses there. Perhaps he's preparing for a 90th anniversary re-enactment of the Battle of Loos with a vole playing the part of the opposing forces... I'll get my coat...
