Dear reader,

Funny, but when I started this odds and ends blog it wasn't going to include stuff about my role with the Plod

Having read through my efforts to date, it seems to be taking over

Well just to go with the flow then.......Last night the mayhem continued.....

Some clown, (later found to be 3 times the drink drive limit) drove his car into the back of a stationary unattended pick up truck that was loaded with sand and slabs.

The car was smashed to bits, none of the occupants wore seat belts, and the two front seat occupants were only saved from destruction by the air bags.

The front seat passenger had to be cut out the car, he received very serious back/neck/face injuries.

(The back corner of the truck helped his face to slow down :o )

The mid twenties driver just kept laughing, he never even asked how his passengers were!!!!!

At the nick all he could say was "Well thats my driving job stuffed"

So dear reader what we must look out for over this festive period is the 'phantom beer guzzler' (PBG)

This strange secret creature (in the mold of the Tiswas phantom flan flinger) can be found in pubs and clubs around the country holding law abiding citizens on the floor and force feeding them excess alcohol.

The PBG then takes the said drunk 'law abiding citizen' and shoves them into their cars before switching on the engine and pointing them in the general direction of home.

Please...... if you know the whereabouts of the PBG contact 999 straight away.

Do not on any account try to stop him yourself. He has powers only matched by 'He who must not be named' (seen in Harry Potter)

Just how much publicity does the Government have to give out before people consider just what may happen?

Yes, her-in-draws has had a nice day, she is as I type this having 40 winks on the setee (It's her age you know)

Out tonight to celebrate. PBG beware.........

Good to hear on the news that someone has been charged with the murders of the five women in Ipswich.

Lets hope that the media keep their snout out of things and the court case proceeds well

The amount of info the media has released is shocking. In Scotland, they woudn't get away with it. All they would be allowed to say at this stage is 'A man will appear in court charged with etc etc...'

Can't they be held in contempt of court if they broadcast things preducing the trial???

Safety in numbers? All the Press have been at it. The question is, what will a good defence lawyer do with it?
