Days off

Dear reader,

Well last night was oddly quiet on planet cop.

Did have to make one stunning arrest though with some clown who thought he could drive home whilst utterly bladdered.........All was going well for him, until he parked his own 4x4 in the front of a stationary unattended Saab. The great British public then leapt into action and pulled the drunk from his car and 'restrained' him until we turned up.

What does the drunk do for a living?..............He's a staff nurse :o

Now got three days off to unwind and relax a bit.

Well that's what I thought until her-in-draws dragged me kicking and screaming around Asda this afternoon. Good grief, what madness, I'm just glad that I don't have to do this every week. No wonder she's a tad fraught after doing the weekly shop!

I guess I'm a bit lucky having a wife and daughter who love to shop, so they tend not to call on my services unless they want to go to pastures new.

Last month we went off to the Trafford Centre in Manchester, a bit like our local Merry Hill (Hell) centre but without the tribes of Chavs wandering about the place. I just like to find a bookshop and arrange to see them at a food place in about two hours time.....Stress free shopping. ;)

Marina,

Give them your plastic and I think they could oblige

They can shop for England......If they gave out Black belts for shopping they would both be 5th Dans by now.
