Tim Godden Posted 1 July , 2005 Share Posted 1 July , 2005 Firstly well done to everyone who has taken part thus far in the previous two months. Secondly, an invite to everyone else who wants to have a go, the more the merrier. So, after much deliberation...and a bit of thinking too ...this months topic is: Moving Up the Line This can be in any theatre of war or, indeed, time of day, the choice is yours. All the best everyone and I look forward to seeing your contributions as they are posted. With regards, Tim

DirtyDick Posted 10 July , 2005 Share Posted 10 July , 2005 Close this months entries now, thats won it!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A creditable, stereotype-busting offering; although I fear we may have to 'massage' the voting system in order to be victorious, Soren. Paul Nixon Posted 13 July , 2005 Share Posted 13 July , 2005 Soren Out of pedantic curiosity, a) why Seaforths? can we tell they are Seaforths from your drawing? c) are the wounded Aussies in the ambulance?
Soren Posted 13 July , 2005 Share Posted 13 July , 2005 No not from looking at them, generally I just portray soldiers without rank or regiment... the wounded Aussies are in the distance, two figures limping back as the re-enforcements go up. Unless the Seaforths did not wear kilts. I like to feel that I know what I'm drawing, but I'm always a student of the great war and I must admit I get confused about who wore kilts and who did not. always a student Soren
