Sad to report that Teddy Noyes has died, Teddy was a lady who was passionate about the Old Contemptibles. A lady who I was glad to call my friend.

Sad to hear. Links to early WFA now getting very thin.

I only got to meet Teddy very recently but she was a lovely lady,  and it was a real privilege to listen to her talk about the Chums of The Old Contemptibles' Association whom she knew and loved so dearly.

Toured with her in 2003 (Somme) and 2005 (Ypres). Tony N was on the Somme tour and Andy Tonge at Ypres.

Teddy was an excellent guide and a lovely person.

Very sad news...

  • 5 weeks later...

I toured with her a couple of times and we lived in the same village for a period.  She was passionate about the men killed in the Wra and knew many stories about their lives.  She gave a great deal of time to the WFA.  She will be missed.

RIP Teddy, and thank you.

[I joined WFA at ST! number 6, met her several times "over there"].
