Lt-Cmdr Frederick S. Kelly DSC RNVR - British-Australian composer, pianist, war hero and Olympic rower

We have mentioned 'Cleg' Kelly's music before on the GWF: look & listen here

And now something to look forward to, plus a date for your diary:

12:00 hrs on Saturday, 30th October 2021 at Southwark Cathedral, London

This concert will feature the world premiere of 'To Dear Cleg' by Sadie Harrison: a love letter to Kelly, a homage to the composer through a series of short pieces based on extracts from his diaries. The pianist Alex Wilson has created a semi-narrated programme that tells Kelly’s fascinating life story - incorporating his musical, wartime and sporting exploits - and features his own piano music interspersed between Sadie’s wonderfully intimate pieces.
