FROGSMILE Posted 18 January , 2021 Share Posted 18 January , 2021 (edited) Signals Service of the Corps of Royal Engineers (RE). The signallers arm bands on each of his arms were blue and white and the badge on his cap is RE. Edited 18 January , 2021 by FROGSMILE

As RE specialist signallers they provided the more sophisticated signals for large headquarters (Divisional, Corps and Army) via large telephone exchanges, early wireless radio sets, and motorcycle dispatch riders. They served in all theatres of war including France and Flanders, Mesopotamia, Macedonia and Egypt. Edited 18 January , 2021 by FROGSMILE
