Wiltshire Posted 22 February , 2005 Share Posted 22 February , 2005 This is my first posting although I have browsed the forum for a long time. I am posting this message even though I think it is a long shot. Do any members of the forum have connections (family, friends, business etc) in Myanmar (Burma). I am interested in obtaining a photograph of the headstone of a Rifle Brigade officer who is buried in Rangoon War Cemetery and who died on 15 May 1918. What he was doing there is anyone's guess. I hope someone out there is able to help as I will never be able to visit the cemetery myself.
Guest EmBird Posted 24 February , 2005 Share Posted 24 February , 2005 You should contact the Commonwealth War Graves Cammission Publicity Section on 01628 634221. They will be happy to arrange a photograph for you but you should be warned that it may take some time to arrive. Hope that helps!

Greenwoodman Posted 25 February , 2005 Share Posted 25 February , 2005 Might be worth contacting the local Burma Star Association or British Legion to see if they have tours going out there. British Legion Tours going off to Burma shortly.
