Guest Posted 13 November , 2019 Share Posted 13 November , 2019 Think it was an 18 pound shell but can anyone give me some more info on the markings? I’d love to know the history behind it.
jay dubaya Posted 13 November , 2019 Share Posted 13 November , 2019 Welcome to the forum John, nice to see lots of older markings struck out. It's a 6 'pounder' mark 4 case of 1918 noted by the 6 PR IV followed by the War Office acceptance mark of the 'crows foot' or 'broad arrow', I'll let others fill in the details..... J So as to set a beginner on the right road it is a broad arrow, not a crow’s foot! Regards, JMB
