deemall Posted 18 November , 2009 Share Posted 18 November , 2009 Can anyone tell me what a badge worn above the right hand breast pocket would be? The uniform is the Welsh Regiment and the pin is rectangular with what appears to be crown in the middle above the rectangle. neen

SteveE Posted 18 November , 2009 Share Posted 18 November , 2009 Sounds like the Territorial Forces Imperial Service Badge. It was awarded to those members of the Territorial Force who signed on to serve outside the United Kingdom. The Territorial Force was intended to be for home defence only but any man could volunteer for the Imperial Service Section and serve abroad in times of war, which entitled him to wear this badge.
