Black Watch Posted 10 January , 2007 Share Posted 10 January , 2007 According to MIC he was R.I.Fusiliers According to CWGC he was R.I.Rifles I suspect the former as his number is similar to one of my relatives. Any easy way to check? Neil

curranl Posted 10 January , 2007 Share Posted 10 January , 2007 Hi Neil, The R.I.Rifles man that you have identified is also in Ireland's Memorial Records. There is no additional information in the entry compared to that in the CWGC. Note that the name can also be spelt McGillycuddy! Black Watch Posted 10 January , 2007 Author Share Posted 10 January , 2007 Thanks for replies. There seems to be something odd here. Checking numbers 10072 onward on NA lookup, there are a few men who are mentioned as being in both regiments and having the same number. Any idea why?
