gporta Posted 26 September , 2006 Share Posted 26 September , 2006 Ditto. They remind me of "good bye Old Man", though in German version here. Gloria
SiegeGunner Posted 26 September , 2006 Share Posted 26 September , 2006 Thanks for posting these pictures, Egbert. Like 'Grandfather's Trunk', they add to my incomprehension of how people with so much in common ever came to go to war with each other. Landsturm Posted 29 September , 2006 Share Posted 29 September , 2006 Very sad photo... This is from a collection of unpublished German war photographs (from http://www.greatwardifferent.com/) Not very explicit, so I guess I won't get into trouble with policies and admins... keithfazzani Posted 5 October , 2006 Share Posted 5 October , 2006 There is something very special about the relationship between man and horse. Perhaps the total innocence of the horse?

barrieduncan Posted 24 December , 2006 Share Posted 24 December , 2006 Nice pics Egbert, thanks for sharing them. These remind me of a print I once saw in a vets surgery when I took my cats for their jabs. If I remember correctly it was some kind of Arabian warrior and his camel - similar scenario to the ones Egbert has posted above. I'm not sure what war it was from, but from what I can remember it was from the front cover of a period magazine. Does this ring any bells with anyone?
