Thanks for all the comments once again. Sorry Mick, none of the Guillemont area, closest I got was Delville Wood (see attached), will add it to the list for next time though.

Plenty - we have a relative buried at Y Ravine cemetery so we normally take that area in - see attached, Y Ravine and the village of Beaumont Hamel.

In the recent and annoying Canadian documentary putting aside his continuing use of the word ww1"junk" they go down a German fighting tunnel covered by a mysterious green metal box in y tunnel is this on the y ravine photo I have looked but am unable to find
other than that brill post :thumbsup:

Seen that show as well Biffo, the tunnel entrance is not in that particular shot..will check to see if I have caught it in another one.

The entrance is in the German trench a few yards beyond the point where the two tracks at the bottom of the frame intersect.

There is a photo of it in my thread 'Misty Newfoundland Park' a few posts down the page on this forum.

That is a terrific shot of the German trench and Y ravine Steve.
