Arthur J Posted 22 April , 2013 Author Share Posted 22 April , 2013 Hi all Just bringing this back to the top. Did anyone in the BBC SE area see the programme, is it worth watching tonight on BBC4 - at 20.30pm. AJC
CGM Posted 22 April , 2013 Share Posted 22 April , 2013 I can't see it on tonight. I have found this reference: The Flying Archaeologist - The Thames' Secret War is broadcast on Friday 19 April at 19:30 BST on BBC One South East. The series will be broadcast nationwide from Monday 29 April at 20.30 BST on BBC Four. CGM
NigelS Posted 22 April , 2013 Share Posted 22 April , 2013 The programme which includes the WWI trenches appears to be one of four different common themed (aerial archaeology) programmes broadcast in four different BBC local regions simultaneously on the 19th April which are being shown as a four part series starting on BBC4 on Monday 29th April (with usual BBC4 type repeat pattern) so it might be as long as five weeks (can't find schedules for that far ahead) before this one's actually shown on BBC4. HOWEVER, for those that can't wait, it's currently available on iPlayer Click (as are the other three Click) until 7:59PM Fri, 26 Apr 2013. Arthur J Posted 23 April , 2013 Author Share Posted 23 April , 2013 Morning all Yes it was my error for BB4 timings. It was originally broadcast on BBC SE on last Friday, and repeated on BBC4 on Monday 29th April. But I watched it last night on the BBC I-player, and it is worth watching. It is not archaeology in the "Time Team" sense, but interpreting ground conditions from the air, followed by visit on the ground. Worth setting your timer for AJC
