Hospital Blues

Does anybody know whether hospital blues were only worn in 'home' hospitals or were they worn also in hospitals in France or Egypt? I seem to be having difficulty finding out for certain.

There was a limited issue of specific hospital items used in France. Orders were issued that wounded men returning to the uk would take the bare minimum of these items when returning to the UK The full hospital blue suits were only issued in the UK as they were really for convalescing men rather than those just wounded and still receiving full medical attention. I have a list of the items issued in France but am away at the moment. I will post it in the next few days.
