Some weeks ago I said I would look up the Calendar of Probate for the entry relating to this soldier who died at Hooge in 1915.

I did look it up but cannot recall whether I passed on the information to the original enquirer. I still have the details and will pass them on if he/she will contact me.

I think you mean Captain William Jeffrey DAVIS, Adjutant of 8th KRRC, who was killed during the counter-attack at Hooge, and I think it was Pal Michael Pegum who was researching him.
