Dear reader,

Happy new year to you, I hope that you managed to party hard and emerged safe and well at the end.

I saw in the new year at work, in a small house in Heath Town, a rather run down part of Wolves (not that much of it is well to do  )

We were called to a rather drunken bloke who had smashed a whisky bottle (well it was empty) and proceeded to slash his wrists. All this in front of his three young kids, who were in what might be called 'a rather upset' state.

So as the clock struck 12 and the fireworks were booming outside I was sliding around a blood soaked laminate floor trying to get bandages and pressure around this chaps wrists to stop him bleeding to death.

Oh happy days :o

Hoping to make the South Staffs pals meeting tonight, so after a time AWOL I can again catch up on the wealth of knowledge that these pals have. (big thanks to Roy Evans for being the driving force behind these meets)

Well I am now off for a few days so time to relax a bit.

Kim,

Yep this guy was one very sad chap. I only get to see the 'end result' of his desperate actions, his kids were clean and appeared well looked after. I can only guess at what took him over the edge. Lets hope that the social services or some similar government body can take care of him.

I am indeed now relaxing at home with the Foo Fighters blasting outta the Hi-Fi. (Wifey has gone out) ;)
