Over the last 13 or so years, i've identified approximately 15 men who have been added to the CWGC database.

These comprise of men who were killed or died during their time in the military, as well as those who died after discharge from wounds or illness related to their service.

The first casualties I discovered were first sent to the late Jim Grant, who was at that time an established volunteer with the In From the Cold Project.

Later I sent the cases in directly to the IFTCP.

The first case was a young lad of 17, who was on my hometown war memorial, which I was researching at the time.
His body was returned home and given a military fineral, but his grave remained without a headstone all those years.
The date he was accepted and added for commemoration was remembrance day, strangely enough.

Accepted 11/11/2010. L/Cpl William Paterson, RAF. Died age 17 from a propellor hitting the back of his head at RAF Henlow. Buried in the Eastern Cemetery, Arbroath.

While doing family research, I found a brother of my great great grandmother, who died while on home service.
I was invited to the unveiling of the Brookwood memorial he is commemorated upon, but unfortunately, could not attend.

Accepted 19/01/2011. Pte. James Couper 4th Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. Died post disharge of T.B. Aged 41 on the 11th of December, 1917. He is remembered on the Brookwood Memorial, Surrey.

This man was brought to my attention as he was listed in the local newspapers, buried locally and rememberd on the parish was memorial at Inverkeilor.
A CWGC headstone was later erected at his grave.

Accepted 29/10/2011. Pte. George Turnbull Orrock, 8th Bn Black Watch. Died post discharge of leg wounds and nephritis aged 24 on the 29th of November, 1918. He is buried in Inverkeilor Old Churchyard.

Farquharson came to light as he was initially a terrier with my unit of interest, the 5th Black Watch, he was leter commissioned and died at home after discharge from illness as a result of his service.

I recall reading about Devine's death in a newspaper article and was at that time unsure of the qualifying criteria for inclusion by the CWGC.
Jim ran the rule over this one and submitted it to the IFTCP.

There may have been another man I submitted to Jim who died in a canal, but cannot remember the details.

I read about this incident in a newspaper, it crossed my mind that the circumstances of his death may have led to him falling through the cracks.

So far only one has went to the CWGC and been rejected. It's remarkable that as of the time of writing, the IFTC alone have had 8,080 cases accepted by the CWGC, for both wars.
Many other individuals will have had additions made in recent years.
