WO364 Missorts

I have been working with Doogal on the creation of database which lists all of the Service Records that can be found in the WO364 Missort Files.

This, hopefully, should greatly assist any Pal who is performing a search of the WO364 series.

At the moment I have almost completed the file WO364/5803 and Doogal is working on 5804. Once all this work is done we will be asking Chris Baker to format the database for use on the Forum.

I will keep this information regularly updated.

That will be a tremendous boon to all researchers. Well done to you and Doogal for taking the initiative. It's a pity that an index doesn't exist for all the WO363 and WO364 service records. It would save everyone a huge amount of time if it did.

Thanks for the response Paul.

It would be nice to see a 363/364 index but I think I may have expired by the time it was completed unless we can get a massive team together.

One person per reel... I'm not much use where I'm currently located but it could be done.

I think you've done your bit anyway and I for one certainly look forward to seeing your efforts published. If you carry on this way you'll be eligible for lottery funding tongue.gif
