The 3rd Canadian Infantry Division takes over some of the 4th Division's front, while French troops are involved in
heavy fighting in taking the village of Verly. American troops face a similar fight around the village of Grand Pré,
Monday, 28th October 1918.
The 47th Division of the British Army, with General William Birdwood, Commander-in-Chief of the Fifth Army, enter
Lille. In the grandstand is the British Secretary of State for War, Winston Churchill.
