Corporal Leo Clapstone
April 2015 - Profound moment when I realized the reason no one had visited Leo's grave.
It struck me that if he and my grandfather had switched guns that day, it would be Leo's
grandson standing there, and not me.
Sergeant W.A. Wallas
My grandfather placed the 'X' over the grave in the photo circa 1980.
Photo would have been captured by Arthur Davies in Spring of 1919 as men were demobilizing.
Major McTaggart
Lieutenant C.E.M. Richer (wounded by same shell that killed Sgt. W.A. Wallas)
Ligny St-Flochel British Cemetery
