Hello, Can anyone post a photo of an MID on a Victory ribbon? Not the medal, but on the ribbon bar? Thanks and cheers, BIll

The smaller version of the MiD Emblem of an Oak Spray is worn Horizontally on a Ribbon Bar Ribbon as opposed to approx 45 degrees on a "worn" Medal

You could get the mons clasp for the 14 star ribbon and a rosette for the medal bar. You got the oakleaf for the victory medal for the ribbon and medal bar. Was there anything that went onto the British War Medal.

Technically if a Man was not awarded the Allied Victory Medal but MiD {for instance some India Theatres,Malta, etc;} Then the Oak Leaves spray emblem would be then worn on the BWM.

[Or in the rare case of neither Medal then directly onto the Tunic;{usually on a piece of "Uniform" coloured material]

The tentative Clasps for the BWM {authourised for the RN but only mooted for the Army/RFC/RAF} would have been worn on the BWM{aka General Service Medal 1914~1920} but NO emblem would have been worn on the Ribbon when worn in "undress" as with other GSMs,to indicate "Bars" though MiD emblems were worn on the other GSMs post 1919
