HAS ANY ONE COME ACROSS THE SURNAME FLEET-CHAPMAN DURING THEIR RESEARCH FOR WW1 SOLDIERS.

OUR FAMILY HAD AT LEAST THREE SOLDIERS IN WW1 TWO WHO CAME HOME HAVING BEEN GASSED AND WHO DIED AT HOME.

The MIC is not very clear, so to save your eyes Henry was with the Northamptons, service number 41222.

Many thanks for info, Henry I can trace in the family records and he lays at rest in the village churchyard. Reginald is a name I have not seen before but his address is on family records so back to the census records to trace him. What do I have to do now to get their service records.

I think it sad that soldiers and who came home to die do not have their names on the village war memorials There are several in the village of Eversholt who go unrecorded.

Sylvia,

A good majority of the WWI service records were destroyed by German bombing in the Second World War, so Henry's records may no longer exist. If you have access to Ancestry you will be able to download Reginalds service records.
