Ladies & Gents,

Pal's,

A friend of a friend has asked me to find out about her Great Grandfather, after a shakey start due to mix up with christian names we have now identified him as Gunner Charles John DENLY, service number 2017 who is buried in Flatiron Copse at Mametz, date of death shown as 23/8/16.

Any information at all on the Gentleman or what the Battery was up to at that time please would be very gratefully accepted.

Thanks for taking the time to read the post,

Regards,

Scottie.
