hallo everyone i need some info on my grandad George Philip Clark, he was in the navy, I know some bits but need info on whey he was awarded the croix de guerre ? any help would be grate

Do you have his service record? This may be it:

This George Philip Clark, official no J6386, was born in Harborne, Staffordshire, 14 December 1893. You can download service records for £3.50.

You might want to try a search of the London Gazette for any awards, though not sure if foreign ones were mentioned (seem to recall seeing some mentions). Try advanced search and enter your grandfather's full name (as exact phrase).
