Torreken Farm Cemetery Belgium contains the graves of five men from the 13th battaion Rifle Brigade, all killed on the 28th July 1917 Does anyone have any information regarding the possible action the battalion was carrying out on that date. My great uncle was one of the men. If its of any help the men seemed to be part of D Company.

Regards, John Ion.

On the 28/7/1917 the war diary reads as follows:-

On the night of the 28/29th a special patrol went out to take May Farm and any of the enemy garrisoning it. This raid was made in view of a possible raid on Rifle Farm. No enemy were encountered and May Farm and trenches in the vicinity were found unoccupied.
