eviltaxman Posted 31 May , 2008 Posted 31 May , 2008 My gut feeling would be the first one.... Frederick C. I don't know if you've got their medal index cards yet, but they are below....... I've checked for a record but as yet there's hardly any Johnsons listed on Ancestry. Les
Greyhound Posted 1 June , 2008 Posted 1 June , 2008 If you have 2nd Lt Gavin Caldwell on the memorial, I have some info to share (much of it gleaned through other members of this forum! ). His father was Rector of Fetcham, and was previously Rector of our parish, so Gavin is on our memorial too.

watts Posted 7 February , 2009 Posted 7 February , 2009 To update you with Gavin Caldwell our Church had 2 candlesticks given back to the Church on Remembrance Day 2008 these had been made for his mother in memory of her son. They had been in someones collection and on his death the family found out that they had belonged here at Fetcham so returned them. Janice
Greyhound Posted 7 February , 2009 Posted 7 February , 2009 What a lovely thing to happen, Janice. Here's Gavin in 1916 with his father the Rector, and his uncle the General.
