Hi,

I got a british war medal and on the rim it say first letter F or B 6095 H L HOBBINS ACT A M I R N A S'?

What is 'Act A M I stand for ? Royal Naval Air Service? What is this mean? Is this sort of a senior rank?

I can't find this name on WW1 National archives? I would be grateful if you can find the medal index card.

Thanks

Mr Kang

Acting Air Mechanic, 1st Class. Something like Lance-Sergeant, I think.
