I have just found a photograph in my collection of a soldier, possibly a RWFusilier, who has a lash on both his right and left sleeve being the number '20'. Can anyone help with an identity please.

Ian,

Going from memory, which is always dangerous, it could either mean the 20th Reserve Brigade or 20th Bn Training Reserve. Not sure which at the moment. Also, niot sure if the 20th RWF wore any special insignia.

Hi Ian,

I don't know if you may have already considered this, but could your soldier be a member of the 20th London Regiment (Blackheath and Woolich)?

attached is a pic that shows you the 20th London's shoulder identification.

regards

Paul
