RobL Posted 29 May , 2008 Posted 29 May , 2008 Trying to find out about this soldier, who enlisted with the Leicestershire Regiment in October 1915 as part of the 10th Leicesters, as shown by his army number 10/23715 - so he'd have been a reserve for the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Battalions in the 110th Leicestershire Brigade. However, when he was captured by the Germans in June 1918 he was a member of the 7th Royal Sussex Regiment with the army number G 18256. Anyone have any other information on him, and/or any idea as to how he ended up with the 7th Royal Sussex? I presume that prior to being in the 7th Royal Sussex, he'd have been with the 110th Leicestershire Brigade at some point. Thanks, Rob
Coldstreamer Posted 29 May , 2008 Posted 29 May , 2008 he could have transferred to make up the numbers in the RS
