The Death Plaque is probably one of the most discussed items on the Forum. Just did a search and dozens of threads appeared.

Make sure you search 'All Forums' and 'Any date'. Alternatively search for posts by Racing Teapots - the Forum plaque expert.

There are several other plaque buffs on the site - some in Canada.

But the answer to your question is - Yes. They did get plaques.

This is a full medal entitlement for a fallen Canadian of the Great War. 1914-15 Star, British War and Victory Medal, Memorial Plaque, Memorial Scroll, and Canadian Memorial Cross. (A soldier arriving in France and Flanders after 1915 will not be entitled to the Star)

Please note this Memorial Cross has a silver chain attached, which was added by the NoK. The medal was originally issued with a narrow purple ribbon, and came in the box pictured.
