gerb Posted 28 May , 2008 Share Posted 28 May , 2008 I am looking for some information on the so called 'Irish Brigade' within the German Army. I am know that the Brigade only consisted of approx 60 Irish Prisoners of War and I dont think it was anything other than a propaganda ploy. What became of those that joined up after the war ? gerb
Terry_Reeves Posted 28 May , 2008 Share Posted 28 May , 2008 If you type Irish Brigade or German Irish Brigade into the search engine, you will find that this has been discussed a number of times. TR

Terry_Reeves Posted 2 June , 2008 Share Posted 2 June , 2008 Gerb No evidence at all. This was used because of the situation in Ireland at the time of course. From all the documents I have read, Germany very quickly lost interest in the project. TR
