Tom Morgan Posted 28 May , 2008 Share Posted 28 May , 2008 Private 114538 David Thomas Daniels Evans died in St. Batholomew's Hospital, London, on 10th July 1917 He is commemorated (Screen Wall) in Nunhead Cemetery. His Death Certificate states that he "died of injuries sustained in enemy bombing raid". CWGC says that he was 19 years of age, and was a member of "Y" Company Depot. Could anyone help with details of any raid which took place on that date? If the soldier was based at the RAMC Depot, where was that? Do you think it possible that this young soldier, based at the Depot, has not been overseas? As always, I'd be grateful for any thoughts.
