just got my hands on a lovely group named to Alfred J Brabbon/Brabban 131Field Coy R.E. checks on Ancestry drew a blank as regards service papers. Down loaded his MIC from TNA. The L G entry 25-4-18 has in brackets(Barking) would like to know if Barking is his home town or Regt. depot Found a Afred James Braddon on Free BMD born 1897 West Ham and also on 1901 UK census also West Ham aged 3 is it possible that this is the same chap? MM awarded for Salonica.

regards Andrew

Barking would be his home town. So if you can find the local newspapers for the time you may be lucky and find out where and why he won the MM.
