I wonder if anyone would be kind enough to look these up please? I am looking for a J Cameron who died from wounds in 1918 and who had been awarded the Military Medal.

Pte J Cameron S/3970 Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders

Pte J Cameron S/20477 Cameronians

Pte J Cameron 2963 Royal Scots

Cpl J Cameron S/16513 Cameronians

L/Cpl J Cameron 40148 Durham Light Infantry

Pte J T Cameron 59639 Machine Gun Corps

I hope this isn't too many to ask!

With thanks

Hi - thanks for this. I'd already found him but had to dismiss him as he was KIA. It may be that Cameron's first name isn't John - I had guessed this as his son was named John. The names above were in the index to the First War Death Register (other ranks) and I had tried on the military-genealogy website but their pay-to-view search facility doesn't allow for anything other than name and place of birth/residence which results in too many names and no clue as to when they died. If the SDGW CD-Rom allows more specific searches, I'd be grateful if you could search on Cameron, died of wounds 1918, awarded Military Medal.

Thanks again
