I was wondering if anybody might have more information on the Army Cyclists

Corps, as I am trying to find out a little more about Pte William Pletts, 20900.

I have had a look at the LLT, but was wondering if there was a regimental

history published.

I was also wondering if his number might suggest a date of joining or a

Battalion.

Any information would be great.

Hi Jonathan,

I have found his MIC on Ancestry, but there are no records of any sort. If you would like the full sized version of the MIC can you please send me your details.

Regards. Llew.

Regrettably the Wkipedia entry is very inaccurate for the simple reason that none of the Territorial or Yeomanry cyclist units were part of the ACC. The ACC was formed from the Divisional cyclist companies in November 1914. In summer 1916 the div cyclist coys were formed into corps cyclist battalions.

Thanks for the offer of the MIC but I have it already.

If there any way of finding his Battalion without looking

at the medal rolls.
