GRAZ Posted 22 May , 2008 Share Posted 22 May , 2008 Hi Does anybody have any information on the pre and post WW1 service of the above officer, and also if he was awarded a RNR decoration. Any info would be most appreciated. Cheers Graham

horatio2 Posted 8 August , 2008 Share Posted 8 August , 2008 The Fleet Air Arm Museum are no longer answering postal or email enquiries. Not accurate. The true position is that the FAAM staff are unlikely to be able to carry out your research for you by mail or e-mail. From their web-site: "For many years we have tried to provide researchers with a correspondence service but the sheer weight of demand, allied to staff changes and also the need to focus more of our resources on internal needs such as exhibition work, means that we can no longer provide this service. You may still visit the Museum to conduct your own research but this has to be by appointment only. We will be happy to provide you with the research materials, and to assist you where necessary. If you decide to take this option, it is essential that you arrange an appointment so that we can ensure that space, and relevant information, is available." per ardua per mare per terram Posted 8 August , 2008 Share Posted 8 August , 2008 Apologies for leaving out the word research it should have read: The Fleet Air Arm Museum are no longer answering postal or email research enquiries. Unfortunately recommendations from forums such as this have overloaded their research team.
