Pals

On behalf of a work colleague I am doing some research into one of his family. Pte George Morgan 3/10885 Kia 17/2/1917 at Boom Ravine.

I have copy of Mic and SDITHGW - cannot find his service record some I presume that went up in smoke in WW2

Can someone fill me in on what the 6th Batt were doing between 26th July 1915 and the 1st July 1916. I have the relevant details from the 1st of July onwards.

Many thanks

Malcolm

They were in a quiet little area of the front called the Somme in trenches near Fricourt and then Carnoy. If you e-mail me via the Forum I can send you a transcript of the war diary and regimental history.

"M" for Morgan isn't online yet in WO363 so there may be one at the NA.

Steve.
