Diary of a Nursing Sister on the Western Front 1914-1915.

Does anyone know anything about the author of this book which was published annonymously by William Blackwood & Sons in 1915?

I am particulary interested in why the book finishes suddenly after the battle of Festubert in 1915 and how it came to be published.

CJC,

Im not very sure who the author is but two names come to mind .May Sinclair and Monica Dearmer, both of the 1910-1922 range( UK). I hope this may assist you.

Regards, John

May Sinclair was an ambulance driver and only lasted a few weeks before she came home. She was unable to stay as it affected her so much. She became a successful author in her own right. But her time in France did affect her greatly.
