My great uncle Private Ronald Duncan, 25004 was in this Bn., and I would love to get some information on the Cameronians. Ronal died on Monday 23rd October 1916 in Thiepval, his grave ref. is Pier and Face 4 D. I am in the process of researching my family history and in particular the Duncan side of my family and I know very little about his enlistment. I would appreciate any information.

Thank you Jacqui Durtanovich

Contact Barrie Duncan (username barrieduncan) - not only does he share the surname but he works for the Regimental Museum of the Cameronians.

He should be able to give you more information.

Buy yourself 'Morale' by John Baines, a marvellous tribute to this fine unit in the Great War.

An outstanding book.
