Guest soren1916 Posted 9 May , 2008 Share Posted 9 May , 2008 Hi Pal's, If you'd not already heard, I'm moving to Ypres this week (lucky me!!!!!) my neighbour (in his 80's) invited me up to his flat to see his Dad's 1915 xmas card ( obviously I was excited) I was expecting a readymade one, however this piece was a handmade and illustrated card with a watercolour of a Tommy sat in his snowy trench, absolutely fab! When I get the opportunity I'll post a copy if you'd like. Soren The Chap was also a ww2 veteran of N Africa, Italy, and the D - Day landings (signals), he also let me see his own drawings done at the time.
