Can anyone provide me with the Trench map location of these two units before they were relieved by 2/4th Berkshires on 21st Nov 1916. The War Diary of the latter is rather confusing in the interpretation of the map refs.

The 55th Brigade diary states that 7th Buffs and 7th Queens were to be relieved by the 2/4th Berkshires. The guides were to be at GRAVEL PIT at 5pm. Two guides were allotted for each platoon and two for Bn HQ. The whole of DESIRE TRENCH was handed over by the Brigade up to a point 200 yards due west of POINT 66 also the whole of CROSS TRENCH up to point 85 and there due east across the ravine at R.17.A.15. I don't know where points 66 and 85 were.

The 7th Buffs diary states that the 7th Buffs were relieved by the 2/4th Ryl Berkshire Regt as follows

1 platoon of B Coy Ryl Berks relieved 2 platoons of D Coy 7th Buffs in DESIRE TRENCH

3 platoons of B Coy Ryl Berks relieved 2 platoons of C Coy 7th Buffs in REGINA TRENCH

C Coy Ryl Berks relieved 1 platoon of C Coy 7th Buffs in HESSIAN TRENCH

The relief was complete by 7.22 pm
