fritz Posted 23 September , 2008 Author Share Posted 23 September , 2008 Hi Fritz, Thank you very much for the picture! It's very clear. Very much appreciated! Vielen Danke! Steve Hello to you all, I am pleased and surprised about the great number of interesting people in this place even today. So it was my pleasure to help. Niederzwehren is not only a site for remembrance but also a wonderfull work of garden-architectur. Daily visited by wandering locals. Perhaps the attached pic will prove that. GrahamC Posted 12 November , 2008 Share Posted 12 November , 2008 Anyone else going that way? I missed the last round of requests but if anyone else is going that way I would love a photo of the headstone of Private Frederick Riley (1st Cheshires) who is buried there in Grave III.J.4. My grandad served with him in 1914 and I have just come back from France where I have now 'collected' photos of the graves/memorials of all (almost) of the fallen comrades of the original 1st Battalion that was decimated at Mons. Any help would be most gratefully received. Graham

MacM Posted 15 November , 2008 Share Posted 15 November , 2008 Hello Fritz Could I also put in a photo request if you happen to be passing that way again: Lieutenant James Robert Dennistoun Royal Flying Corps Died 9 August 1916 Niederzwehren Cemetery, grave IV.H.2. Dennistoun had been with the North Irish Horse before he joined the RFC. I would be most grateful. I would also like to use your pictures of Niederzwehren Cemetery on my North Irish Horse website: http://www.notoriousstrumpets.com/NIH/NIH%20Homepage.htm. If you agree, please let me know how you would like to be acknowledged on my site. Many thanks Phillip

GraemeClarke Posted 30 December , 2012 Share Posted 30 December , 2012 Morning Fritz I notice from this thread that you have assisted Forum members with headstone photographs. I was wondering if you were still in a position to assist ?? Cheers, Graeme
fritz Posted 30 December , 2012 Author Share Posted 30 December , 2012 Hi Graeme, yes I can. But Niederzwehren is 150 km away from me, so I´ll be there not before April 2013.
