I have a copy of this volume and am happy to look up items in it. No scans however as I don't want to damage the spine.

I'm related to Sgt W Willows of the 2nd West Riding Reg't Service # 3/11364. The London Gazette of 1/1/1918 records his DCM award "for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. As battalion signalling Serjeant during the whole time, in which active operations were in progress, working under heavy shell fire, in order to ensure that communication was maintained. " and continues.

This man served in the 2nd Boer War as a signaller and spent some time in civvie street after that until 1914. I'm assuming he was a reservist re-called at the beginning of WW1.

Can you guide me towards a source of information on the history of his Battalion and perhaps a record of his service beyond his medal cards?
