The Calais Depot was situated to the south of Coulogne and astride the railway as seen in the Googlearth image.

Would any pals have some exterior views of this complex ?

I will be visiting the area in late May

Thanks in advance

What sort of Depot was it? Run by who? RE? ASC? If RE, I am wondering if there will be photos in one of the RE History volumes?

There is a contemporary map of the place in Peter Barton's Passchendaele page 133. It comprised of RE, RAOD, Workshops, POW camps,

ASC, AOD and WAAC camps, Special Bde and a mass of railway 'Grids'... in all quite a big place.

If I can get some good veiws, yes of course.........

I contacted the RE Museum last year over another very simple matter and did not receive the courtesy of a reply

which did not endear me to them.
