Jonathan D'Hooghe Posted 29 April , 2008 Share Posted 29 April , 2008 if you know a member of the Western Front Association, then ask them for the latest edition of their magazine "Stand To". In it there is a very thorough article giving casualty figures year by year for each division of the BEF. The gist of the article is whether the top divisions of the army were asked to do more fighting than divisions considered to be secondary units and therefore whether they suffered more casualties as a result. This applies to the regular army units of 1914, the Territorials and Kitchener's new army units. If you let me have your postal address, I can copy it to you.
